When I look at these photos I start humming the song “Dominique” from American Horror Story. Could it be that the outfit reminds me a little of the uniforms of the asylum nuns? (I’m not selling it well). Seriously, the look I decided to wear the other day is simple but still has character, and is perfect for various occasions.
For example, I wore this green dress with snake print loafers (you can find loafers similar to mine or of other colors / patterns HERE) that give it that extra touch. The hat and the bag, match the colors of the shoes, letting the green of the dress be the only protagonist. The dress is fluttering and A-shaped, but not trivial. Excellent when you don’t feel too fit and you are more keen to cover, rather than accentuate, your silhouette, without becoming sloppy or banal. The dress is great for nice summer meals (BBQ love), but it is also perfect for the mid-season, thanks to the 3/4 sleeves. Exchanging the loafers with knee-high boots – or higher – allows the dress to be worn from March to October.
Why not wearing it even at work? A green dress is sober, has the right length and gives that extra touch to the classic office dress. I know it is difficult to talk about the office these days, but sooner or later we will go back to work at our usual desk, right?
Last but not least, this dress is on a budget, also because I got it from Primark. But do not give me the look, it is from the new collection of Ecological Cotton, which creates garments in 100% cotton, promising a more eco-sustainable manufacturing. What can I say, I had to buy it, right? Primark has a lot of nice garments in this collection, I highly recommend you guys to have a look, they are in stores now!
