I love wide pants, especially culotte pants, so I couldn’t not love those army green culotte pants with a super high waist! They have a huge space on the waist for the belt, they came with a ton-sur-ton loose belt – already got rid of that – and I substituted it with a statement block belt! Those kind of culotte pants can really fit everyone, if you pay attention to details. For instance, high waist moves up the middle point, making your silhouette to appear longer. Moreover, wearing a little heeled sandals or boots can slim the figure and avoid the stubby effect. I decided to wear those pants with a look in the shades of, let’s say, a “safari”: animalier print and a faux fur that looks like, I don’t know, pheasant feathers. Ok, let’s move on.
The animalier sweater is from Zara and the thing that I love the most is the fact that has the elastic on the waist. Like, it creates the puff at the end, the sweater is more like a crop top and this effect looks like the sweater is actually inside the trousers, but it’s not. This is great for skirts, so you can have the puff effect without the protuberance of the garment under the skirt. Genius, uh? Army green culotte pants + animalier sweater were already a winning combo, but then I wore my new laced up leather boots – they would be so perfect for Coachella.. – from Frye and the faux fur that we said looked like full of pheasant feathers, and that it’s so safari-ish as well. I wore my Gucci bag just to remind myself that we are in the city center and not hiding in the forest.
