Morning, an oversized warm sweater, a glittery skirt. Ready for work, ready to go out. Ready for the day and for the evening. Boots above the knee, who knows under that sweater what there will be?
Oversize sweater, how to match it (from a birthday girl)
Let’s be clear, oversized sweaters are very cool. They hide both the belly and a more provocative look ready to be discovered as soon as you leave work. For this look I opted for heeled over-the-knee boots and a glittery skirt that ticks out from under the sweater. Do you really want to know? The skirt was also a little bit rolled up. You know, a look is created also like this: changing even the most basic pieces and adapting them to the outfit you want to create. The oversized sweater is versatile, comfortable, soft and warm. I love to combine it with shorter and more tight garments, like in this case the skirt and the over-the-knee boots, because doing so you will balance the width and softness of the sweater. The rule is always the same: if the above is large, the below must be tight and vice versa.
Among other things, these over-the-knee boots are always falling down for me, it was a mess to pull them up. I read of the Velcro straps that hold on the boots, they should be on Amazon, as soon as I find them and I try them (of course) I’ll tell you.
Ah, today is my birthday too. And since I already have the glittery and the new bag (thank you mom, I wanted it for so long!) Well.. I’m going to celebrate. No balloons with the number to put on Instagram – eh, now next year – no pompous parties. Work, two laughs with colleagues, a pizza with friends, a Sunday brunch .. ok, they are also many things in reality. So I take off my sweater and… I keep you updated on what I will wear.. but on social media! (follow me on instagram @eleonora_pellini it’s easier).
Ah, the captain’s hat is a new one and I’m like super love.
Do you like the look? Do you also love oversized sweaters?
Thanks to the talented (and super patient) Azzurra Motta who took these fantastic pictures without getting pissed off!
