This time I planned ahead. And not only because it is like already autumn here in Ireland, but also because I love the tartan print to madness. Autumn + tartan + rock-chic details and we can easily create one of my favorite looks! That’s exactly what happened in this case. So, I show you how to wear a tartan dress with a waist belt (in the “on the dress” and in the “on the coat” versions!) and a captain’s hat, or bakerboy hat, in the autumn version in suede.
How to wear a tartan dress and a captain’s hat
This tartan dress has the perfect length to be worn both for going out – I would say both day and night even if it’s a little bit “casual” – since it can be safely taken back to life by a belt, as in this case. But it is also perfect for the office, with or without a belt, perhaps with a loose blazer. I have worn it with ankle boots with a wide heel, a studded leather backpack – to give the rock effect – and a camel coat, passe-partout that perfectly frames this kinda-British look.
On my head: the bakerboy hat, which is perfect for these cool but not cold days, but with lots of wind, and my curled hair that lasted for about half an hour before returning to flat like a sole shape. Never mind.
Do you like my interpretation of tartan, seasonal trends and absolutely must-have in any women’s and men’s wardrobe? How do you wear tartan? Have you already bought something? Good day everyone!
