I would like to say that I took this outfit pictures some time ago and that I forgot about them, but that’s not the truth. I took these pictures two days ago, because here in Ireland it also snows in March. Well, in reality, it never snows in Ireland but this year there has been a kind of riot for all those years that had not snowed and the weather made it count. Dammit.
Sherpa Bomber Jacket in a burgundy outfit
I came up with a trend of this winter, at least here in the “northern” countries: the sherpa bomber jacket. We find two types of this jacket: the denim jacket padded with fur, or the ribbed suede jacket padded with sheepskin as well. Levi’s launched the trend, which everyone then copied and readapted. This is a kind of corduroy Burgundy Sherpa. Although it looks like a jacket that is as warm as a lace veil in Lapland, it actually does its duty. I wore it with a maxi-sweater in the same tones and the heat was guaranteed! I covered my legs with velvet tights and heavy wool socks sprouting out of the lace-up boots. The hat acts as an anti-snow umbrella and the small shoulder bag – for the picky ones, yes, it’s a new purchase! – is camouflaged in the outfit, not taking the attention that instead the sherpa jacket deserves.
The look was warm and chic, it was fine on that snowy Sunday – but only because the storm was over…. The Sherpa is not famous for being waterproof! If you are in the middle of the storm, opt for the usual winter jackets!
And you, do you have a sherpa? How is the weather in your country, nice as here? Good day everyone!
