I bought this blue and brick orange tartan coat on Yoins, and it was really low coast. Well, there is no need to spend a fortune to be cool, right? I decided to wear it in a look with the same shades, blue and brick orange. I wore a high-waisted skirt by Uniqlo, super feminine, comfortable and with the right length to be used at work. As a top, I wore a sweater of the same blue of the coat, with a belt that marks the waist, brick orange. Finally, some adorable ballerinas (loafers) that finish the look. And it’s super low cost!

How to wear a wool tartan coat?

The tartan coat can be challenging to wear, but if you opt for a color-matching look, you can not go wrong! In this case also the bag is super matching: I wore a small shoulder bag by Michael Kors. But if you go to work, you can wear a large leather bag or a backpack from the same brick color. The extra idea? If it rains – as in this case – you can leave your house with water shoes and put the flats, loafers or whatever, in your bag: you can change shoes when you are at work. You will remain glamorous without the unsightly signs of water on your shoes! (and you’ll be dry!)
